Feed Your Family: 7 Steps to Success

Whether you are looking for ways to save money on groceries or just trying to feed your family healthy food, creating a grocery list is extremely helpful. Last week I wrote about how to make your life easier by creating a perpetual grocery list for those items you know you want to buy weekly. This week we’re looking at Step 5 of my eBook which is Re-Write your grocery LIST.

I have to admit that when I first read about re-writing a grocery list over at MoneySavingMom I thought it seemed like it would be a waste of time {of course I used to think that about menu planning and writing a grocery list too.}

Clearly Crystal knows a thing or two about finances so I took the leap of faith and decided to try it. I found that when I re-wrote my grocery list I would save $5-$10 every week. It was definitely worth the 5 minutes that it took.

If you need to reduce your grocery budget
this step will  more than likely save you a few bucks…it doesn’t hurt to try it!

Today, I don’t always re-write my grocery list, but I can tell a difference when I do – shopping seems to go a little quicker and I usually save a few pennies.

Important!

Re-write your list for a couple of weeks. If you don’t notice any difference then you haven’t lost much. If you notice that you save a few bucks, you’ll have to determine if it’s worth it to you to continue doing this step.
