Grocery Challenge
As you put your groceries away, ask yourself these questions:
Do these items nourish my body?
Do these items help me stay within my grocery budget?
Have I spent my grocery money wisely?
If you look at the items that I bought – the pizza definitely did not provide many nutrients to my kids. Yes, it was cheap so I could stay within my grocery budget, but I cannot say that it was nourishing. However the meat, butter, salad, veggies and fruit that I bought did nourish our bodies.
Will I buy pizza every time my husband goes out of town? Probably – he hasn’t gone on a business trip in years.
Reviewing the items that you purchased will help you determine whether you are meeting the goals that you set in step #1. Check out Grocery Shopping: Steps to Success for more information.
